Texas Department of State Health Services Oral Health Improvement Program (DSHS-OHIP) The Oral Health Improvement Program (OHIP) at the Department of State Health Services (DSHS) encourages Texas residents to improve and maintain good oral health. Our vision is a healthy Texas, where all individuals enjoy the benefits of good oral health as an integral part of overall health. We promote oral health through leadership in public health practices, policy development, education, and population based preventive services.
