The Texas Oral Health Coalition (TxOHC)
The Texas Oral Health Coalition, Inc. is a nonprofit state level coalition
that exists exclusively to promote and support the oral health of all
Texans. It creates and assists collaborative efforts between oral
health professionals, medical providers, local communities, health-
related coalitions, and public health stakeholders. The Coalition is the
primary organization in Texas that provides a nonpartisan forum for
innovative networking to make oral healthcare more accessible,
equitable and obtainable for all Texans.
Texas Health Institute (THI)
Texas Health Institute’s Oral Health Program advocates for a community where everyone has an equitable opportunity to achieve optimal oral health. We believe that oral health is an integral and essential part of overall health and well-being. We employ upstream strategies centered on improving oral health across the lifespan. We work closely with our partners to implement, evaluate, and disseminate oral health best practices. We provide strategic planning and program development support to translate evidence into action. We guide the integration of oral health with general health at the local, state and national levels.
Funding support for the Texas Oral Health Conference is provided in part by the DentaQuest Foundation.
This event is sponsored in part by the following organizations:
Texas Department of State Health
Services Oral Health Improvement Program (DSHS-OHIP)
The Oral Health Improvement Program (OHIP) at the Department of State Health Services (DSHS) encourages Texas residents to improve and maintain good oral health. Our vision is a healthy Texas, where all individuals enjoy the benefits of good oral health as an integral part of overall health. We promote oral health through leadership in public health practices, policy development, education, and population based preventive services. The OHIP works with various partners across the State to identify the oral health needs of Texans and the resources to meet those needs.
